It is so much easier to cut circle from paper using this tool. With this tool, I can cut a very good circle around 10 seconds using cardboard.
I checked the circles with a caliper, the different between 2 cuts using same setting are within 0.1mm. In my crafting project, even 1mm is acceptable because it does not require very precise measurement. So this compass cutter is more than enough for my projects.
It works with thick cardboard (around 0.3-0.4mm) with ease. I have no doubt it will work on thicker paper. I found that it is easier to spin the cardboard paper instead of the ruler itself when cutting.
However I failed to use it to cut circle from 1mm plastic. Maybe with a little more time I could do it but I did not feel it worths the effort.
I really like this product because not only it works very well, it also looks like a quality product. It has matt surface on most area and smooth on rest. The extra 6 blades are a plus.
